This state police and fire pension fund provides pension and disability benefits to the state’s full-time police officers and firefighters as well as survivor benefits and an optional health care plan for retirees and their eligible dependents.

Challenge

With support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 coming to an end and the need to move to the cloud, the fund decided that it was time to make a move to provide the opportunity to implement best practices and improve efficiencies. Because they are a quasi-government organization, the fund must follow state regulations.

Solution

The fund consulted with HSO, and the solution architecture was built on HSO's DynamicsAdvantage for Public Sector, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, integration with a pension management system, and Microsoft 365.

Results

The fund can now implement best practices and improve efficiencies, specifically in the areas of procurement, cash, and banking. Processes and reconciliations have improved, and the fund can comply with state requirements and restrictions.
